Disabilitare l'interfaccia Metro (Modern UI) di Windows 8
Odiate la nuova interfaccia Modern UI di Windows 8? La considerate del tutto inutile sul PC o Notebook con mouse e tastiera dove lavorate? Si? Sappiate che non siete soli. Anzi siete/siamo in netta maggioranza. In attesa che Microsoft ci conceda la possibilità di farlo da sistema operativo senza ricorrere a software di terze parti (ma chi avrebbe utilizzato sta roba se fosse stato possibile disabilitarla?) ecco qua finalmente una soluzione funzionante. Explorer 7 Vs Explorer 8
La soluzione proposta con Ex7ForW8 dal fantomatico hacker russo Tihiy è ottima perchè non usa menu start farlocchi come e simili ma risolve il problema alla radice: rispristina Explorer.exe di Windows 7 e fornisce poi una comoda e semplicissima interfaccia per switchare fra le due. Quello che avrebbe dovuto fare Microsoft insomma.

Installazione
La procedura è semplicissima, scompattate ed eseguite il programma ex7forw8_setup.exe. Durante l'installazione vi verrà richiesto di inserire il DVD di Windows7 oppure di puntare ad una directory c:\windows dove è installato Windows7. Attenzione all'architettura: se ad esempio avete Windows 8 a 64bit dovete disporre di Explorer di Windows 7 a 64bit.
Switch
In qualsiasi momento potete poi tornare indietro, basterà lanciare il programma installato Switch Shell (di default lo trovate in c:\windows\explorer7) e vi verrà proposta la schermata di switch. Facile e (finalmente) indolore.
